  • The Bike School

The Bike School is the youth workforce development program hosted at the bike shop in downtown Knoxville. The goal of the program is to offer 16 internships, each 120 hours, to develop the technical and soft skills of each student and improve the work opportunities for youth in Knoxville. Students work with dedicated instructors during their internships and learn about topics like bicycle maintenance, customer service, public speaking, computer skills, photo editing, and e-commerce.

  • Pedal It Forward

For every bike sold in the shop, Two Bikes pledges to donate another back to the community. It’s in our name - Two Bikes! Pedal It Forward seeks to ensure that individuals across all ethnicities, incomes, and demographics have access to the benefits of bicycling. Bikes are donated to the organization, refurbished by professional mechanics, then either donated back to the community or sold in our shop to cover program costs.

  • Community Rides & Outreach

Two Bikes wants to reinforce the idea that cycling should work to include all individuals. Community bike rides are designed to bring joy in a casual and relaxed environment with zero intimidation or judgment. The rides are intentionally easy so that anyone from beginners to the most experienced bicyclists has space to thrive in an active and communal setting. Each community ride is open to all ages, races, ethnicities, gender expressions, and sexual expressions.
