2023 Annual Report
Two Bikes Knoxville
A Note from Our Executive Director
This was a big year for our little nonprofit. The Bike School grew, we hosted some very fun rides, and we saw our CEO go on to start a Two Bikes in Chattanooga. Amongst all the change and growth, we frequently took the time to pause and remember that what makes Two Bikes so special is our spirit.
The Knoxville community supports us not only because of our nonprofits endeavors, but because we strive to embody the spirit of cycling in all its forms.
It’s this fact that keeps us motivated to do the things that we love: riding bikes, building community, and focusing on sustainability.
If you share these values with our team, we ask that you support Two Bikes this year. Each donation makes it possible for us to provide more internships and donate more bikes to our community.
Have Fun Out There,
Sophia Etienne

“More recently, we provided a bike to a man who needed a reliable way to get to his kitchen job. He revealed that that day was his 1 year freedom anniversary from a long stint of incarceration.”
With tears in his eyes, he told us how welcomed he felt by the Knoxville community and was looking forward to stopping in the shop for his regular tune-ups.

Community Rides
Two Bikes desires to reinforce the idea that cycling should work to include all individuals. Community bike rides are designed to bring joy in a casual and relaxed environment with zero intimidation or judgment. The rides are intentionally easy so that anyone from beginners to the most experienced bicyclists have space to thrive in an active and communal setting. Each community ride is open to all ages, races, ethnicities, gender expressions, and sexual expressions.
