Ramble Ride: BBQ and a “Waterfall”

  • Two Bikes 118 South Central Street Knoxville, TN, 37902 United States (map)

Ride Summary: In this edition of Ramble Rides we’ll be heading east to Patches BBQ (5200 Rutledge Pike) for some to-go bites and then over to the Loves Creek ‘waterfall’ to stuff our faces. On our way back into town we’ll cut through the botanical gardens. Expect minor gravel-based shenanigans. Post-ride hangs TBD.

Challenge Level: Serious Amateur

Distance/Elevation: 14.4mi/1234ft

Average Pace: 10-13 mph

Link to Route: Ride with GPS

Appropriate Bike: Any bike that can navigate the road efficiently and climb hills comfortably. A beach cruiser isn't going to cut it. Wider tires would be nice as there may be some ultra-lite off-road side quests.

Rider Expectations:

  • Knoxville has got a lot of hills. There's no way around it…unless you can fly. Expect moderate to difficult hills.

  • The sun is still setting pretty early and we might be out late. Bring lights!

  • Locks recommended. Tool kits encouraged. Helmets required
