Ride Summary: In this edition of Ramble Rides we’ll be heading east to Patches BBQ (5200 Rutledge Pike) for some to-go bites and then over to the Loves Creek ‘waterfall’ to stuff our faces. On our way back into town we’ll cut through the botanical gardens. Expect minor gravel-based shenanigans. Post-ride hangs TBD.
Challenge Level: Serious Amateur
Distance/Elevation: 14.4mi/1234ft
Average Pace: 10-13 mph
Link to Route: Ride with GPS
Appropriate Bike: Any bike that can navigate the road efficiently and climb hills comfortably. A beach cruiser isn't going to cut it. Wider tires would be nice as there may be some ultra-lite off-road side quests.
Rider Expectations:
Knoxville has got a lot of hills. There's no way around it…unless you can fly. Expect moderate to difficult hills.
The sun is still setting pretty early and we might be out late. Bring lights!
Locks recommended. Tool kits encouraged. Helmets required
